Composed of contradictions and subject to change without notice
"You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus." —Mark Twain
The hardest question for me to answer in this world is always the "Tell us all about you" question. The best way for me to answer is that "I am composed of contradictions and subject to change without notice."

I just took the PersonalDNA personality profile. I have taken quite a few personality profiles in my day: some for work, some for school, and some just for fun. I used to keep all the test results to one day compare them (and I may still yet). My biggest question about personality profiles has always been; how can a personality be accurately measured when it is always moving and changing - and the act of measuring it in itself can change the personality? Wouldn't it be like trying to determine the length and width of a cloud? And yet, I still take the tests to see what they determine my personality to be is at least for that moment in time. Feel free to access my personality. It will make you take the test before you can see my report, but then you can compare the two later. Comments are more than welcome as to your results. |
I am going to admit to a small obsession with Ashley Judd. I just can't help it. She is a very attractive woman AND she can actually act. Granted - she hasn't always chosen the best of movies to be involved in (The Passion of Darkly Noon comes to mind), but I have watched almost all of them anyway. Here are the movies of her's that I have seen:

Woo Hoo!! I have finally finished my Master's program. I am an official, card carrying M.B.A. Which means: I now no longer know how to operate any type of heavy equipment, my skills are completely useless to at least half the employement opportunities out there, and that I now have explain what MBA stands for for the rest of my life. I did learn that there are certain social circles that think highly of having an MBA degree: Professional Poker Players, Sanitation Engineers (although they are paid much, much better), and Parents. Was it worth it? Was it worth all the hours and minutes and days that went into that tiny piece of sheepskin? Was it worth the student loan that I will now have to start paying back? I'll let you know in a few years. |
I remember way back when I was living in a house with several roommates. Most everyone was in college and would come and go all the time. People would move in and out just about every sememster. Well, I had been living there long enough to see many people come and go. Inside this house, like most houses, there was a refrigerator which I almost never used because of the smell. One day I got it into my head to clean the refrigerator - I was kind of a clean freak then, but I got over it. The refrigerator was almost older than dirt and certainly hadn't been cleaned in several years. I got out all the necessary fridge cleaning ingredients: hot water, baking soda, and vinegar. There was supposed to be some house rule that everything needed a label in the fridge or it was fair game, but no one really ever labeled anything. The first thing I did was start to remove everything. I take everything out of the door - checking for expiration dates and pitching anything older than me into the trash. I then start removing all item from the shelves with the same criteria for whether or not to trash it. The minute I opened the crisper, I regretted my idea to clean the refrigerator. A small creature of some kind had somehow gotten itself (or was placed) into the crisper and died. This is the point where the fridge cleaning plan changed. Everything in the refrigerator and freezer was promptly removed, all surfaces were scrubbed with bleach, wiped down with hot water, put back together, and never touched (by me) again. Have you ever found something in your refrigerator that was just too horrible to be identified? |
No two ways about it… I was tagged not too far back with the request for Four Things. I didn’t fall victim to it at the time. But when I came across it again while cleaning out my email, I decided that it would make for some interesting reading for those few who actually read my blog. However, some of the questions needed re-written and others needed to be added. So I have made some changes to the list for the sake of change. Four interesting jobs I’ve had….
Four movies I can watch over and over…
Four places I’ve lived…
Four TV shows I love….
Four highly recommended TV shows that I’ve never watched….
Four movies that I’ve never seen, but heard about all my life….
Four places I’ve vacationed
Four places I want to vacation….
Four of my favorite dishes…
Four sites I visit daily (almost daily) …. Four places I would rather be right now….
The
Four items that I would need if I were stranded on a desert island…..
Four songs that get stuck in my head…..(whether or not I like them to)
Four songs I love…
Four words to describe myself….
Four actors/actresses I love….
Four mixed drinks I enjoy….
