Four Things

No two ways about it… I was tagged not too far back with the request for Four Things. I didn’t fall victim to it at the time. But when I came across it again while cleaning out my email, I decided that it would make for some interesting reading for those few who actually read my blog. However, some of the questions needed re-written and others needed to be added. So I have made some changes to the list for the sake of change. Four interesting jobs I’ve had…. I have had many interesting jobs in my time. These are in no particular order. Flagger – standing in the middle of a street fending cars off with a stick while wearing a bright orange shirt Car Wash Manager – babysitting teenagers while they wash cars Bowling Alley Attendant – babysitting alcoholics Novelty Salesperson – a recession-proof business Four movies I can watch over and over… Whenever I am in a bad mood or I am particularly bored. I put one of these movies in and it always makes me everything better. Galaxy Quest – I laugh my ass off every time I watch this movie Disney’s Aladdin – Robin Williams is hilarious as the genie Harry Potter – all of these movies are worth watching repeatedly Labyrinth – I’ve watched this about a million times and it is still good Four places I’ve lived… I have moved quite a bit in my lifetime, but it has mostly stayed within these four states. Oklahoma Utah Idaho California Four TV shows I love…. I never really used to watch too much television. I prefered movies to tv, but these shows had me glued to the television (or at least very aware of my Tivo settings). Will & Grace The L Word Queer as Folk Commander in Chief Four highly recommended TV shows that I’ve never watched…. These shows are talked about over and over again with people I know and people I don't know and they tell me to watch them. I've seen part of each one and promptly turned the channel. Survivor American Idol Desperate Housewives America's Next Top Model Four movies that I’ve never seen, but heard about all my life…. I haven't avoided these movies, I just haven't gone out of my way to watch them. Titanic Gone With the Wind Easy Rider Doctor Zhivago Four places I’ve vacationed I actually don't get to go on vacation very often and when I do - I generally choose to go to land of lost wages. However, I have been on a few trips to places far, far, away. Las Vegas, NV Dallas, TX Puerto Vallarta - Mexico Calgary, Ontario – Canada Four places I want to vacation…. See last post as to where I generally choose to go, but I would like to go to these sometime in my life. Australia France New Zealand England Four of my favorite dishes… My first time through this list, it ended up being all desserts. However, I did think of a couple of food items that I do like. Chicken lo-mein Spumoni Any pasta with sauce Crème Brule Four sites I visit daily (almost daily) …. I read several blogs and have many sites that I like to check regularly. For reference, I am sitting in front of my computer as I do just about every day. Hanging out with friends at Starbucks Roller-blading around the lake Painting in the park At the movies with my sweetheart The four five* best movies I have ever seen…. I had to add an extra one because I couldn't bring myself to bump any of them from my list. This list definitely shows my true colors. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Blade Runner E.T. The Extra Terrestrial *There are also plenty more for me to add to this list. Four items that I would need if I were stranded on a desert island….. If I were ever stranded on a desert island (i.e. Survivor, Lost) these would be the items I would like to have with me. iPod (with solar power battery) – I need noise at almost all times Twinkies – because they have no expiration dates Magnifying glass or hand mirror – for starting fires Pocket knife – possibly the Swiss army kind with everything on it Four songs that get stuck in my head…..(whether or not I like them to) Just working on it stuck these into my head. However, I did discover that when you have one annoying song stuck in your head, you can get it to go away by getting a different annoying song stuck in your head. “My Name is Luca” by Suzanne Vega “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin “The Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats “Louie Louie” by The Kingsmen Four songs I love… My taste in much are very widespread. “Not Gonna Get Us” by t. Logical Sarcastic Inconsistent Selective Four actors/actresses I love…. I have seen every movie the first one on the list has been in - even when they were painful to watch.
