The hardest question for me to answer in this world is always the "Tell us all about you" question. The best way for me to answer is that "I am composed of contradictions and subject to change without notice."

Black Friday

This is the day of the year that you have to fight the little old blue haired ladies for the latest in sale items. If you joined into this holiday ritual this morning, I hope you survived unscathed. Those ladies can be viscious when they want to purchase the $49 dvd player.

Thanksgiving Eve Web Wanderings...

Located this strange bit of ummmmmm..... craft work. I believe it is a dildo cozy, but I can't be sure. It could be a knitted alien from outer space... Link you be the judge.

Along the same line of thought is what happens when a dildo (or not) is used too much. Link

I am not sure if this falls into the same category or not. It is a toothbrush made of candy, but it looks a lot more like an adult novelty item than candy for kids. Either way... Link

Weird...

...I had about a million things to talk about before I set up this blog. I think I now know what writer's block feels like.

Newspaper Nabber

My newspapers have a tendency to stack up on my front porch during the week --since I enjoy laying around on the weekend reading these papers and catching up on old news. Well, recently my stash of newspapers has begun to disappear before the weekend arrives. I am not sure what to think about this. Should I be upset that they have disappeared before I could read them, or grateful that someone feels the very strong need to recycle my papers in advance......?

Star Wars Trilogy: Musical Edition

This was a new one on me. To see that someone out there decided that it was a good idea to write, cast, and perform Star Wars Trilogy: Musical Edition: Link. I found this on slashdot.

Mostly Vegetarian

When I was very young (before my teens) I decided, based on my love for animals, that I would no longer eat most types of meat. I would not eat any animal that I considered cute or that I wasn't willing to kill myself. Considering that almost all animals are cute at some point or another in their life-span; it left chickens, turkey, and fish as the only animals that I would consider edible. My mother and my father were very supportive of this. Their support consisted of, "here is dinner - just pick out what you don't want to eat." They, like most parents, figured that it was a phase I would eventually grow out of - I didn't. It has been over 20 years now and I still do not eat most meats.

the dimwitted professor?

In college, I had a professor who was quite a character. He would come into class, sit on one of the front row desks, and lecture to us for about 30 minutes (of a two hour class) before leaving. One day his lecture was about the way CEO's think. His theory was that the leaders of the company needed to be left alone as much as possible to think (strategize) - and that everyone else in the company should be working. I thought the professor was completely loopy for thinking that way; since I was working three jobs just to put myself through school. I wanted to scream at the professor "that CEO's should have to work like everyone else in the company," but I didn't. I left the professor alone on the topic and went on about my life. In hindsight, I think that maybe the professor was wanting someone to disagree with him - possibly he was looking for a little thinking (strategizing even) from his students.

getting a little personal...

I know that some people are fairly interested in finding out about the people that write the stuff that they are reading. So along those lines here goes the revealing, juicy information you were looking for:

Facts:
  • Female
  • Tall
  • Blonde
  • Educated - hmmm... odd combination with the first three.
  • Sense of humor, but only when provoked.
  • Animal lover (platonically of course - save the romantic love for those sex furries
  • Artist
  • Computer Geek
  • Lesbian

Belhoste Begins

One of the most difficult things we face in life is to start something new. I have been toying around with the idea of starting a blog for some time now and just never got around to it. Starting was of course the hardest part. So here it is -- the first post for the Belhoste blog.... Now all three of you readers out there who randomly stumble upon this blog will have something to read at least for a couple of seconds.
